This is pretty neat: a service that lets you design and create a miniature robot. It combines two nifty technologies — WebGL, a 3D modelling service supported on modern browsers (don’t even ask about IE. Just don’t), and 3D printer technology. If you play with the robot design tool, the 3D support is pretty neat, and doesn’t require any plugins to implement — it’s browser-only. If you like the created robot, you can give them some money, they’ll 3D-print you a robot, and mail it to you. Ta-da!
Ars Technica has a good article about it.
