Design for the Future

The Design Exchange is hosting an interesting event called Design Matters: Designing for the Future on Tuesday April 19. Part of the event is a panel discussion with Bill Buxton Principal Researcher at Microsoft and pioneer in the field of Human-Computer Interaction, and Roger Martin, Dean of the Rotman School of Management.

Bill received the SIGCHI Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008 for his many fundamental contributions to the human–computer interaction field, is former faculty at the University of Toronto and is an incredibly dynamic speaker. We have his recent book Sketching User Experiences in our library for those interested in a great read on the importance of design in our profession. Interesting to note that he has quotes from Bill Gates and Peter Gabriel on the cover of the book.

It's only fair to share...
