This presentation by Glenn Vanderburg at the 2010 Lone Star Ruby Conference proposes that software engineering, as it’s taught in universities, simply doesn’t work. The presenter then goes on to build the case that disciplined Agile methods represent the best of engineering principles applied to the task of software development.
We’ll start by watching the video, which lasts 52 minutes. After that there will be some time to discuss questions such as “Does it make sense? Can we use the historical data presented to influence the way we work with customers?”
