Colorado Software Summit 2007 – Day 0

My Sunday arrival was greeted by a beautiful storm of cold fluffy snow. The trees are covered, and the air is crisp. I hadn’t realized before that Keystone is at 9000 feet, but I do now. And I forgot my gloves and toque.

Sunday evening gave us a nice dinner and reception for the ~300 attendees. The food is great, and the people are friendly. Most of the people I’ve spoken to do internal (i.e. enterprise-y) work — either employees or consultants. I haven’t seen any vendors so far and most people are practitioners. I’m especially enjoying hearing different perspectives on issues we face in our work. I hear that the conference is smaller this year, with sharply fewer foreigners.

More to come.
