Rails and vanilla html

My main hesitation up to this point over both Rails and Grails has been how easy it is to make the default view technology (rhtml or GSP) look like the worst sort of early JSPs. I was so loath to give up my read-anywhere html that I was starting to work out how to make Tapestry or Wicket play nicely with Grails. I still think that’s a neat idea, but someone else has solved the problem for Rails: this appears to do precisely what I wanted. I will do some testing and report back, but wanted to put in the early heads-up in case anyone else was stumped on the same problem.

And, since then, Graeme Rocher has gone ahead and integrated Grails and Wicket (blog).

It's only fair to share...
