We’ve had discussions lately on various projects about time and java, and among other things about Eric Evans’s Time And Money project (which from a browse in the CVS looks as though it is growing a new version, NextGenerationTime, with plenty of activity these last few days). Well, now there’s a JSR for a reformed Java Date and Time API. Probably well worth keeping an eye on.
The websites I visit most regularly to keep track of this kind of thing (pause for embarrassed recognition that Afua asked me to blog about this some months ago) include:
- Thoughtworks blogs (where I read about JSR-310; includes Martin Fowler’s bliki)
- Pragmatic Programmer
- Object Mentor blogs
